The Essentials

Who doesn't love traveling? But in my mind the most important thing is to fit in. The best way to do that is to wear similar clothes. In Europe they are very into high fashion and trends but here are two articles I can guarantee will never go out of style. One Ballet Flats and two leggings. One of my favorite outfits to where in general is leggings flats and a sweater, so this was perfect. It was really warm when I was in Spain, but the school I was visiting Salesianos, had a dress code and shorts and tanks were not permitted. So I would wear layers of clothing until I came home and peeled out of my clothes into shorts and a simple tank. So here are some pics from Spain of some outfits and some options for summer flats.

In this picture above I am wearing a dress from El Corte Ingles and BCBG Paris Flats from DSW. They are super comfy and come in more colors. I have a silvery color on.

Above is a picture of myself ans a friend. I am wearing Victoria Secret Pink Leggings with the black band. They are super comfy. I'm also wearing a jean shirt from Target. Steve Madden combat boots. and a White blouse from Abercrombie. My satchel is from Dooney and Bourke. 

Above is me and some Spanish friends. I am wearing my Victoria secret leggings again except they have a green and grey band. My same jean shirt from the picture above, and my pink shirt from H&M Europe. 

This last picture was taken at a castle and government building in Zaragoza. I am wearing my black banded Victoria Secret leggings, my jean shirt and a white top from Abercrombie. 

As you can see leggings and flats are big in European fashion. And were very practical and comfy while traveling. Here are some flats for summer. 

Above is a flat you can find on the DSW website. It is by Hush Puppies, they're Chaste Flat. Above showed in Coral and is sold for $60.00.

This is a BCBG Paris flat, also sold on DSW online. Showed in black above, is sold for $40.00 and is extremely comfortable. It is there Leather Magie Flat.

Lastly is the BCBG Paris Magie Canvas flat also sold on DSW online. It is showed in yellow above and is sold for $40.00 as well.

Spain Life

Life in Spain:

    Europe is so fashionable it makes me want to live there so badly. France, Spain and Italy its all amazing. Spain life was definitely different from life in the US. I mean are you used to walking everywhere. Here's the most important lesson I learned on my trip. Don't judge people because those people could become your best friends.
    So back in May a group of 20 kids from my high school formed and step by step experienced the process of an exchange. Starting with getting our students that were soon coming to visit us in October. I met a few kids when the Spaniards were in my town. It was great made a few new American friends and a lot of Spanish ones. Here's the thing, not until I left on my excursion did I realize how close you can become to people over a 2 week span. These people became my familia.
    People have constantly called me snobby because I enjoy high fashion and expensive clothes and never wanted to be friends with anyone different then me. When on this trip I became friends with a boy who has an eyeball on the back of his hat, certainly not preppy, a girl with a nose ring, a girl with a more artistic view in clothing, a sophomore and a kid I hated without even knowing before.
   Here's the thing I had no idea what I was in for when I left and I thought making a few friends along the way would be fine. Id probably not even talk to them when I returned home. WRONG!! Oh my god do these people complete me. Listen to me as I say never judge, you're first judgment is never right. Don't listen to you're other friends telling you that a person is weird or to not talk to them. None of that! Here are some pics!

   So as I started this..life in Spain is so different. We walked everywhere, it was hot, people go out all the time, lunch is the biggest meal of the day and parents come home for it. Life is magical there. Zaragoza was a beautiful city and I loved spending my April vacation there.

Fashion Must Have 1

A couple of weeks a go I returned from Spain. There I was educated on the culture. Including its fashion. Day by day I will post an article of clothing that was popular in Spain. Day one:

CONVERSE

This is my exchange student Blanca and I in her hometown
Zaragoza. She is wearing some cute Converse with mustaches.

     Converse sneakers have been around since as long as most of us can remember and represent America. Converse are comfortable cute sneakers that are popular all over the world. From high tops to high heels, converse have transformed culture. While vacationing in Spain for two weeks I saw 1 out of every 5 teenagers wearing converse. They were extremely popular. Of course they're look and versatility is the number one reason. But they're comfort is equally important. Kids are non stop walking in European cities and for these 15 and 16 year old's, converse were the best option. Here a few pictures of Spain and some converse you should consider looking out for.

Sitting at a cafe in Madrid. I sported my converse quite often. They were definitely my go to shoes on the trip.

Okay so the most frequently asked question I would get asked is what to wear Converse with....here's my answer

ANYTHING! That's the best part of them. I wear them with Jeans in the winter, shorts in the fall and even with dresses I know sounds stupid, but it really makes the dress/outfit more casual. I also love wearing high tops with leggings and a cute shirt.
